OUR FOUNDERS' STORY
Beverly Hamilton and Tara Levy are nonprofit polymaths.
That means that in addition to having served in dozens of nonprofit roles over the past few decades, we enjoy problem-solving, issue-spotting, and system-building. When you add our advanced degrees (Ph.D. for Beverly, J.D. for Tara), you realize we come about terms like polymath and ombuds quite authentically.

Throughout our work--usually independently, but sometimes together--we have served as sounding boards for each other and experienced first-hand the value of having an independent, well-informed partner to help navigate challenging situations. And due to the nature of our work, we continually come across situations that we realize could have had better outcomes if there had been a better process available.

Knowing nonprofits the way we do, we also know better processes could not be implemented in each organization given constraints of time, budget, scale, and a myriad other challenges. But we knew there had to be a way.

Nonprofit Ombuds is the better way.

Ombuds offices are usually found in universities, large companies, or significant institutions.
We built an independent Ombuds Office to serve this independent sector.
Beverly Hamilton is an interim executive director several times over, nonprofit consultant and founder of Austin Diaper Bank. Tara Levy is a lifelong nonprofit consultant, leader, and board member. She has worked with and in leadership roles across a wide variety of nonprofit organizations including Generation SERVE and HERdacity, and she has led national teams focusing on nonprofit dynamics and continuity.
